Andrew Librizzi Talks About Burning the Nativity
Posted: July 1, 2010
In this week’s video blog, writer/director Andrew Librizzi talks about the genesis of the BEYOND story and the film’s unforgettable opening scene in which a United States Senator, played by veteran actor Andrew Prine, burns the town’s nativity scene. Mr. Prine, a renowned Hollywood actor, is known for his roles in The Miracle Worker, Gettysburg, Chisum and the producers of BEYOND were so pleased by his participation in this project.
The night of the “Burning the nativity” shoot was Mr. Prine’s first day of production and a chilling introduction for this California resident to the Lone Star state as the only Texas blizzard ever recorded on the first day of Spring! Of course, cinematically, it made the scene poetic, compelling and horrifyingly beautiful.

This movie is going to be such a strong reminder of what our country really should stand for. The director is extremely moving in this explanation. I feel this will have a very big impact.
Looks like this movie should be very soul searching for all America…..
I hope it does get shown at theaters across the nation….
