Barry Corbin as: Chief Burns

Barry’s full given name is Leonard Barrie Corbin, and he was born on October 16, 1940, to Kilmer Blain Corbin, an attorney, and Alma Corbin, an elementary school teacher in Lamesa, Texas. He has played his characters with believability and matter of fact charm since 1970. Memorable films include “Urban Cowboy”, “War Games” “Dukes of Hazard” and his dynamic performance in the award wining, “No Country for Old Men”. He has worked in over 55 films throughout a historic career. However, Barry has also made his mark in television. One of his most beloved roles was in “Northern Exposure.” However is has played in series such as “Dallas”, “The Thornbirds”, “The Big Easy” and most recently Coach Whitey Durham on “One Tree Hill”.  He has a respected name in the industry. In fact, director Andrew Librizzi, previously worked with Barry on one of the first HD projects for television. Mr. Librizzi directed “Texas Tales and Legends” and Mr. Corbin was its host. Barry has a daughter named Shannon Ross, with whom he shares his 15-acre ranch in Fort Worth, Texas, when he isn’t working. He says that he rides horses there every chance he gets.
